Improved Whiskey Cocktail

INGREDIENTS

• Rye whiskey2 oz6 cl
• Maraschino1 tsp5 ml
• Simple syrup1 tsp5 ml
• Absinthe1 dash
• Angostura bitters2 dashes
• Lemon twistGarnish

METHOD

1. Grab a rocks glass.
2. Fill the mixing glass with ice.
3. Add rye whiskey to the mixing glass.
4. Add maraschino to the mixing glass.
5. Add simple syrup to the mixing glass.
6. A dash of absinthe.
7. 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
8. Stir until ice-cold (about 30 seconds (sped up)).
9. Add one big ice cube.
10. Strain over fresh ice.
11. Garnish with a lemon twist.
